The truth of Man is in the heart of eternity, the fact of it being evolved through endless ages. Honestly speaking, I don’t thoroughly understand this statement but would like an interpretation please.

This would only be my interpretation, but here it goes.
I think it means that because we as humans have such a long history in a universe that is so ancient that we are inextricably woven into the fabric of the universe and that we could never be considered to be apart from it; it is an argument against the anthropocentric notion that humanity’s truths have somehow sprung out of nothing, or from something other than that which we are such an integral part.

Thanks for that! That’s kind of what I was getting from it but it was a little twisted for me. I am a big Kahil Gibran fan in terms of some of his writings on mans association with the universe, a higher being, nature, etc. I had not heard of Tagore before this. Again, thanks!
